SCLEROTHERAPY

Sclerotherapy is our treatment of choice to reduce or eliminate unwanted varicose and spider veins.  A small amount of sclerosing agent (sodium tetradecyl sulfate) is injected into the vein to irritate the inner lining of the blood vessel causing it to close down.  Side effects are minimal and typically 1-4 treatments are necessary to achieve cosmetic and functional improvement.
